Dear prospective boys team charity (btc) Granite Bay League member,

Thank you for your interest in joining boys team charity.
boys team charity is a volunteer service organization dedicated to developing an altruistic spirit in young men through active participation of parents and sons in philanthropic projects in their community.

Our current btc calendar year runs from May 1, 2023 through April 30, 2024.

Our applications for Prospective Members for the 2024-2025 year will open on MARCH 4-11, 2024 for the graduating classes of 2025-2030. Check back during that time frame, and the prospective member application will be open for completion.

The new btc year will begin May 1, 2024.

Hours Requirements:
Annual minimum Philanthropy Service Hours requirements for both boys and parent(s):
Grade 7, 8, & 9........................15 hours each*
Grade 10, 11, & 12..................10 hours each*
Annual minimum League Hours requirements for both boys & parent(s): 6 hours minimum each (earned by attending general or grade level meetings)

Meeting Requirements: Parents and boys must attend 2 of 3 general meetings each btc calendar year and boys must also attend 2 of 3 class meetings each year.

Volunteer requirements: btc is a volunteer organization that is operated by parent volunteers. Parents are expected to participate as a volunteer leader at some point during your years in btc.

Financial Requirements: Each league has annual membership dues that are used to cover the costs of operating the league. Please contact the VP Membership (contact info will be provided to you at the end of this application) if you need specific league dues information.

Sponsorship: New btc members are sponsored by current btc "members in good standing." Sponsors must also be continuing in btc in the upcoming year and not graduating out of btc. If your son does not have a sponsor, please ask around - classmates, friends, neighbors, etc. btc membership is reviewed on an annual basis and new btc members are selected by a random draw.
